About Heatwise

I started Heatwise in 2010 after five years working for a bigger heating firm in Sheffield, where corners got cut more often than I was comfortable with: boilers oversized to make the quote look better, servicing rushed to fit more jobs into a day. I wanted to do it properly, even if that meant fewer jobs a week.

For the first few years it was just me, a van, and word of mouth around Rotherham. I picked up my Gas Safe registration early on and I've held it continuously since, renewing every year without a gap. As the workload grew I brought on a second engineer, Craig, in 2016, and we've stayed a two-man operation ever since rather than scaling into something I can't personally stand behind.

We still work the way I set out to sixteen years ago: a written quote before anything's touched, no call-out charge dressed up as a diagnostic fee, and the same engineer from the first visit to the final sign-off wherever possible. Most of our work now comes from repeat customers across Rotherham, Sheffield, Barnsley and Doncaster, and from other tradespeople who've used us and passed our number on.
